Apply to the CCSSW Immersion Program

Applications for the Fall 2026 cohort and due applications are due September 1, 2026 at 11:59 EST.

The application requires a personal narrative, resume, unofficial graduate transcripts and proof of licensure. The application fee is $75.

Personal Narrative

Prepare a personal narrative, not to exceed four (4) typed pages in length (double spaced, 12-point font, and one-inch margins). For this narrative, respond to ALL the items listed below. This narrative is a critical part of your application packet. Please utilize APA style to format the paper and cite sources (if necessary).

Part One: Explain your interest in the CCSSWI Immersion Program. Elaborate on both personal and environmental factors that have influenced your decision to pursue this program. This can include any life experiences that have influenced your decision.

Part Two: Discuss your understanding of the Sport Social Work field. Describe the skills you believe a successful Sport Social Worker must possess.

Part Three: Discuss your strengths and weaknesses as it relates to working with the athlete population. How do you believe the CCSSWI Immersion Program will enhance these strengths and address areas of weakness?

 

Resume

Please submit a current copy of your resume. Your resume should outline 1) all professional work and 2) sport volunteer experiences.

 

Transcripts

Unofficial transcripts graduate school are required. If your college/university is emailing your transcript (to admissions@ccsswi.org), please attach a note indicating this.
