Upon passing the certified clinical sports social worker exam (first offered in 2023), social workers will be designated as CSMHC (Certified Sport Mental Health Clinician).
The Immersion Program is specifically intended to prepare students to pursue employment in the sports industry and to sit for the Certified Clinical Sports Social Worker (CCSSW) exam. It is the same coursework as the 11-month Program but condensed into 2-months. Each course delivers the same outcomes as the Immersion Program.
Immersion Program Cost: $2,900.00 (may be paid in two installments).
You may also take up to 4 courses a la carte, at $300 each.

The CCSSWI Immersion Program is strictly a clinical program! Our students are working towards a CSMHC designation – which will become a nationally recognized designation in the sports world.
The certified sports social worker designation will foster great trust and hopefully lead to greater employment possibilities in the sports industry.
This program is for licensed mental health practitioners (social workers, psychologists, counselors, etc). This is a clinical initiative. The Immersion Program is taught by all social work faculty except for one faculty member.

The Immersion Program tuition fee of $2,900 (plus $125 deposit) includes the courses, preparation for the certifying exam, exam fee*, and the certificate.
*Tuition covers first exam only. Participants may take the exam more than once but must pay the exam fee after the first time.
