Our Certification Program is designed to prepare licensed social workers to earn the Sport Licensed Social Worker (SPLSW) designation and for other licensed mental health providers to earn the Athlete Clinical Mental Health (ACMH) designation.
The immersion program includes a synchronous component and asynchronous component.
Students will be involved in a seven week dynamic, creative, and interactive curriculum designed to start or further their practice in sports.
After students complete their coursework, they will sit for a certified exam that includes content from the three leading sport social work programs – UM, ASWIS & CCSSWI. Upon passing the athlete clinical mental health exam, social workers will earn the SPLSW designation and other licensed mental health professionals will earn the ACMH designation.
CCSSWI offers Sport Licensed Social Worker (SPLSW)/Athlete Clinical Mental Health (ACMH) certification for those who sit for the ACMH exam.
